YOUTUBE – The name of the video is “Monkey Escape,” but is the chimp really gesturing for someone to let him out of his zoo enclosure?
The curious video was uploaded July 21, and it already has more than 250,000 views. According to the uploader, the primate lives at the Welsh Mountain Zoo in the United Kingdom.
The video shows the chimp gesturing at a group of zoo patrons from inside its home at the zoo. It appears to be pointing at the window and asking for them to open it. But is that really what’s going on?
Some YouTube users caught on to the more likely scenario: if you watch closely, you’ll notice there is food on the ground just below the window, and that’s probably what the chimp is getting all excited about.
