HOUSTON—Veterans wishing to protect themselves this season got a chance to get drive-through flu vaccines at the Michael Debakey VA Medical Center on Saturday.

There were no orders of the swine flu vaccine on the menu, but the seasonal vaccine was given on request.
Veterans who missed the event can still receive free flu shots during the week at the VA hospital or any of its outpatient centers.
Proof of military status is the only requirement.
