HOUSTON – The Ugandan Orphans Choir brought their traditional songs and dances to the Houston Zoo for a special performance Saturday morning.
The choir, composed of 10 talented children ranging from 8 to 14 years old, performed at the zoo’s Reflection Pool.
“These kids are incredible. They’re very resilient, and have a lot of joy for what they are doing,” Shay Flaherty, tour leader for the choir, said.
The choir has performed in churches and schools nationwide as well as Disneyland and Qwest Field in Seattle, according to a press release from the zoo.
