Video shows suspects in Sugar Land assault, robbery

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police have released video of the suspects in Monday's assault and robbery of two women outside a Target store in Sugar Land.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. Monday at the Target near Highway 6 and Highway 59, according to the Sugar Land Police Department.

A police spokesman said two women were leaving the store when a female approached them, pepper sprayed them, and stole both of their handbags. Police said the assailant even punched one of the women in the face.

Surveillance video shows the suspects' dark-colored car circling the parking lot before the assault. Two suspects were spotted getting in the vehicle. A third accomplice was waiting in the driver's seat.

The victims were treated at the scene but not sent to the hospital.
