HOUSTON COUNTY -- Residents in Houston County had a terrifying brush with Mother Nature on Christmas Day.
There are reports that a tornado that hit Pennington, and judging by the damage, it’s easy to believe.
There were no lives lost or serious injuries from Tuesday’s storm that did major damage along Highway 287. The major issue was a lack of electricity.
Power poles and power lined were knocked down. At least 1,000 people in Houston County were without power. Electric crews are working to restore power to customers.
