HOUSTON – A driver who was speeding on wet roads in west Houston Monday night was trapped inside his vehicle after crashing into a utility pole, according to Houston police. Police said a man was speeding westbound on Memorial Drive at Westlake Park around 9: 30 p.m. when he lost control at a curve on the rain-slick street, slid across the oncoming lanes and slammed his Ford Taurus into a wooden pole.
