HOUSTON – Houston firefighters Tuesday were called to an overnight car fire that spread to a nearby automotive shop.
The fire broke out around 3:45 a.m. on Hempstead at Karbach, according to the Houston Fire Department. An officer passing by spotted the smoke and made the call.
Once on the scene, HFD firefighters were able to quickly put out the shop fire, but the car kept burning and the fire jumped to another vehicle. After about 15 minutes both vehicles were put out.
No injuries were reported.
Arson investigators were looking into the cause of the fire.
