The Zoo’s new Amur tiger cubs are now on display in the Florence Mila Borchert Big Cat Country. The cubs are still nursing from their mother, and recently began eating meat. Visitors can see a video presentation of the cubs showing in the Big Cat Building that took place during their first physical exam in August.
A naming contest for the cubs was recently was held, and the Zoo received more than 1,700 entries. On Wednesday, November 4 at 10:30 a.m., County Executive Scott Walker will announce the winner, and the winning cub names, in a special ceremony at the Florence Mila Borchert Big Cat Country.
