HOUSTON—Houston police are searching for a suspect who shot and killed a teenager at a house party in southwest Houston early Wednesday.

Hundreds of teens flooded a home in the 4400 block of Allison overnight after word of the party  spread on social media sites.
“Pretty much it was just a party, a foam mansion party -- the remake of 'Project X,'" said Sade Williams, a partygoer who learned about the event on Twitter.
The fun ended when a fight broke out shortly after midnight and someone pulled out a gun. Neighbors reported hearing about 35 gunshots.
HPD was arriving to investigate the noise disturbance and heard the shots as they were pulling up.  They saw teens scattering in a panicked frenzy.
“Patrol officers got here first and they said there were people everywhere,” said HPD Sgt. Adolfo Carillo. “There were people running everywhere and trying to leave the scene.”
Police found a teen boy shot in the 13200 block of Pembroke at Allison.
They also saw another teen standing nearby with a gun.  Police chased the teen through the woods, but lost him in all the confusion.
Police do not know if the teen they chased was responsible for the shooting, because it appears several people discharged weapons.
The victim, who was between 17 and 19 years old, was transported to Ben Taub Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
