HOUSTON – Houston police were looking for a driver they said purposely ran over and killed a woman in southwest Houston early Friday.
It happened near an apartment complex on Bellerive near Fondren around 5:30 a.m.
Police said the female victim was pushed or dragged and then run over by the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, driving a red Dodge Challenger with its rear window missing, sped away. Investigators said a second vehicle may have also been involved in the incident.
Police said they were questioning several people at the scene and at the nearby apartment complex. Apparently the woman made a phone call to her brother just before she was killed.
