HOUSTON—A police chase Tuesday night ended with an officer Tasering a man in front of a toddler.
It all began around 6:30 p.m. when the suspect’s vehicle struck another vehicle and then kept going, police said.
Police followed the man along the Eastex Freeway and some side streets. After about 15 minutes, the suspect hopped out of his car at Green and Meadow and that’s when the officer fired his Taser.
A woman and a toddler who were inside the vehicle were both unharmed in the chase.
The suspect said he didn’t stop because he was driving on a suspended license and then he asked for his mother to come and get him.
