HOUSTON—Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan visited Houston Tuesday night, not to court voters, but rich donors.

Rep. Ryan arrived at Hobby Airport and then darted off to a private fundraiser.

The Republicans and their super PACs have raised $736 million so far.

That’s a lot, but still less than the $774 million already raised by President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign.

Rep. Ryan headed to Ohio to host a town hall and rally after the Houston fundraiser.
