HOUSTON – Protesters in the Occupy Houston movement left downtown Houston Friday afternoon and headed to Eleanor Tinsley Park.
Many of them spent Thursday night outside Houston City Hall. They moved so they wouldn't interfere with this weekend's Bayou City Arts Festival.
The Occupy Wall Street movement began in New York but has spread across the country. Demonstrators said they are mad because of the influence, the wealthy have in politics.
"It makes me angry,” one woman said. “We're supposed to be a nation of nations and people are hungry and unemployed.”
