HOUSTON – Investigators think a lightning strike from Friday night’s storms sparked a blaze at a home in north Houston.

The family said they heard a loud pop and saw a spark in the attic at about midnight at their home on Van Ness near East Camino, but didn’t see a fire so they went to sleep.

An hour later smoke started filling their house. Luckily, everyone was to able get out safely.
