HOUSTON -- The week is ending with nice, cool breezes, but a cold front is approaching and the weather is expected to get very chilly next week. Coats and slickers may need to be added to the wardrobe because 11 News Meteorologist Katherine Whaley said rain is moving in and the temperatures are expected to drop.
Sunday temperatures started off relatively warm at 63 degrees, and highs are expected to reach 77 degrees.
Tonight will be cloudy with a 30 percent chance of isolated showers. A cold front is expected to move in overnight, bringing in 50 degree temperatures and increased moisture for Monday.
Monday lows and highs will remain the mid-50s and there will be an 80 percent chance of rain.
Tuesday’s temperatures will drop even more, dipping into the 40s with an estimated 70 percent chance of thunderstorms.
The temperatures will warm up again by the end of the week.
