HOUSTON—Jurors in Jessica Tata’s murder trial watched cell-phone video Monday that was taken as the fire swept through her west Houston day care.
The video, which was shot by a neighbor, shows Tata running around in a panic. At one point, she tells that neighbor how many children are inside and then that info is passed along to firefighters.
Four children died in the fire.
Prosecutors said Tata left the kids alone while she went shopping at a nearby Walmart and Target.
