HOUSTON – Firefighters responded to a townhouse fire early Sunday morning in southwest Houston. It was the second fire in as many days at the townhouse building.
The Houston Fire Department said they responded to the fire at 12:30 a.m. at a building located near Arboles Drive and Chimney Rock Road, and found heavy flames coming from the two-story townhouse building.
HFD was able to contain the fire before it spread to units next door. Fire investigators said the homeowner suspects that a former friend of his behind the two fires since they have been arguing recently.
Arson investigators are already looking in the first fire, which started outside the building on the stairs the night before. The second fire started in the homeowner’s bedroom while he was away.
No injuries were reported from the fire, but the unit is a total loss.
