HOUSTON -- Some activists pushing for immigration reform tried to make their voices heard in downtown Houston on Wednesday.

Dozens of people marched to Senator Ted Cruz's office. They're trying to convince him to support immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship.

"Immigrants are already a part of our community and they are not legalized, like they don’t have documents because the system has been failing us for a long time,” said immigration reform activist Marianela Acuan.

So far, no response from Senator Cruz.

But previously, Cruz has said he is against a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants saying it's unfair to other immigrants, who follow the rules, and wait in line.
