HOUSTON – Areas of patchy fog early Monday cleared out in the late morning hours, leaving southeast Texas with a mostly sunny and warm day.
Our afternoon temperatures will top out around 70 degrees. Overnight into Tuesday morning, we'll dip back down into the mid-40s.
Tuesday will be cooler at 65 degrees, but things will warm up once again by Friday, when a chance of rain brings cooler temperatures heading into next week.
"In our seven-day forecast, you'll see nice weather today," said KHOU 11 News Meteoorlogist Mario Gomez. "Then a weak cold front enters the picture on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the next cold front sets us up for big weather changes this weekend."
On Thursday there's a 20-percent chance for rain. On Friday there's a 30-percent chance for rain.
By Sunday, our daytime temps will be in the upper-50s.
