HOUSTON –- Wednesday afternoon will be warm and muggy, but the temperatures will drop over the next couple of days and a few sprinkles might be heading our way, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.

Highs are expected to top off in the 80s today with a 20-percent chance for rain.

On Thursday, there’s a 40-percent chance for showers during the day as a cool front moves through. Tomorrow will be a little cooler – in the mid-70s.

The cold front will cause the temperature to drop on Friday morning to the low 40’s. The high for the day is only 67 degrees.

After another chilly morning on Saturday, a warming trend begins and temps will near 80 degrees on Sunday and Monday.
