HOUSTON – We're now just about 24 hours from big weather changes arriving in the Houston area, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Thursday started with lows in the 70s before climbing into the mid- to upper-80s. There's a 20-percent chance for brief, scattered showers.
"Temperatures are going to stay warm today and even when we're starting the day off tomorrow," said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
By Friday afternoon, however, our temperatures will start to drop with a forecast high of only 74 degrees and a 40-percent chance of rain.
"Let me tell you -- this weekend will be just gorgeous with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s," said Johnson.
Saturday and Sunday will be cloudy with afternoon high temps in the low- to mid-60s.
By next Wednesday the temperatures start to climb a little higher with a forecast high of 74-degrees.
