HOUSTON -- We had an amazing drop in temperatures as a cold front moved into our area late Wednesday afternoon, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul. It feels like winter even though we’re in the middle of April!

You’ll need an umbrella and a jacket if you’re heading out the door Wednesday evening. It will be breezy and chilly with pockets of light rain at dinnertime. The temperature will continue to drop throughout the evening.

We’ll dip into the mid-to-upper 40’s overnight in southeast Houston. Our overnight temps will be 10-15 degrees lower than normal.

The clouds should break on Thursday, and with some sunshine, temperatures should rebound into the upper 60’s.

We’ll have a slight warm up on Friday to a high of 74 degrees. Temps will continue to rise to almost 80 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.
