HOUSTON -– After this morning’s chilly temps, we’re set to have a beautiful Valentine’s Day in the Houston area, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

We’ll top out around 69 degrees this afternoon under sunny skies.

“Even though we’re starting off colder this morning, we’re actually going to be warmer this afternoon than where we ended up yesterday,” said Johnson.

Friday morning we’ll be in the low-40, topping out in the mid-60s in the afternoon hours.

The nice weather continues through the weekend with a slight drop in the temperatures.

Our next chance for scattered showers comes Monday.
