HOUSTON – Early morning fog quickly burned off as temperatures rose into the 80s on Thursday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

The forecast high for the Houston area is 84-degrees. Some areas will get close to the record high for this day, which is 88-degrees, said Gomez.

Temperatures will remain on the warm side through the weekend when a front moves through, giving us a chance of rain and dropping temps a few degrees.

By next Tuesday the chance for rain goes away, and our overnight lows will drop into the 50s.
