HOUSTON – Another ozone watch is in effect Tuesday as high temperatures approach the 90s, KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman said.
“The high Tuesday will, once again, approach 90, perhaps getting a little bit warmer than that,” he said. “Another warm day for us, keep your sunscreen handy.”
The Ozone Watch is in effect so sensitive groups—small children, the elderly and people with any respiratory illness—should limit prolonged outdoor exposure. The ozone peaks in the late afternoon, so if you want to avoid the ozone altogether, stay in the air conditioning between 4 and 7 p.m.
The seven-day forecast shows there isn’t much change in the weather as the week progresses. High temperatures will remain in the lower 90s and lows will be in the upper 60s.
