HOUSTON—There’s very little chance of rain in the Houston area Thursday, but all that will change in the coming days, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
There is a 20-percent chance of isolated showers with a forecast high of 95 degrees Thursday and a 30-percent chance on Friday. The rain chances will jump significantly to 50 percent Saturday and Sunday.
"If you're planning to head out to the Texans game Saturday, you may have to deal with a wet tailgating afternoon," said Johnson.
Temps through the weekend will be in the mid-90s.
Meanwhile in the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Gordon’s sustained winds were at 40 miles per hour as of Thursday morning. The storm is heading back into open waters and will not affect the United States.
