HOUSTON -– Monday will start cool but warm up fast, causing air quality issues in some parts of town, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“We’re going to tack on a few more degrees than we had yesterday,” said Johnson. “This morning we were in the mid-50s, but temperatures this afternoon are going to climb faster than they did yesterday.”
Monday’s forecast high is 80 degrees under sunny skies.
An Ozone Watch is in effect for Harris County, Brazoria County, and Galveston County. Air quality is expected to be the worst between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we’ll have similar weather conditions, but a warming trend will take us to afternoon temps in the mid-80s.
A slight chance for rain moves in Thursday, and the rain chance increases through the weekend, giving us a little bit of a cool down on Saturday and Sunday.
