HOUSTON -- Thursday afternoon will be nice and pleasant with warm temperatures and a nice breeze, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.
Lows kicked off in the mid-50s and afternoon temps will top out in the 70s.
"We are noticing wind velocities beginning to pick up across the gulf Coast, today, winds have been gusting to 30 miles per hour," Gomez said.
Our next chance for showers comes on Friday 'We'll continue with that trend as winds become more southerly ."
There’s a 20-percent chance for rain beginning at 7 a.m. Friday and afternoon temps will be in the low-80s.
On Saturday, there’s a chance for a few thunderstorms with a 30-percent chance for rain. Stronger storms are possible in our northern counties.
The best day of the weekend is Sunday. Highs will be near 70 degrees with mostly sunny skies. Cooler weather returns at the start of next week. Overnight lows will drop down into the 40’s, while highs will only be in the upper 60’s.
