HOUSTON -- We’ll get a warming trend the next several days, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul. Our warm up begins Friday night with lows in the 40's instead of the 30's.

Overnight lows on the north side will be in the mid to upper 40’s. On the south side, overnight into Saturday morning lows will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Saturday is Groundhog Day. Will Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow? If he does it’ll mean six more weeks of winter.

It will be beautiful this weekend! We’ll get into the low 70’s both Saturday and Sunday.

Enjoy the next two days because cloudy and rainy conditions return next week. There a 20-percent chance for rain on Monday, and our rain chances increase to 30-percent on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
