HOUSTON – The weather will not be a factor as we head out to the polls today because it is shaping up to be one beautiful day, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.

“High pressure has moved in, this is what’s going to dominate our weather pattern over the next several days,” Johnson said. “With high pressure you get clockwise flow, that’s what’s bringing in a north wind so we will see a breezy day.”

Election Day kicked off with lows in the mid-50s and highs are expected to top off in the mid-70s. We may see a slight warming trend as the week moves on, with highs increasing to the lower-80s.

The remainder of the week will be nice and dry with cool mornings and pleasant afternoons. The rain is not expected to return until Sunday.
