HOUSTON – It was 100 degrees on Friday, making it the hottest day of the year, and Saturday temps will be one or two degrees hotter, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
There is a slight chance for rain -- 10-percent or less -- on Saturday.
“Tomorrow the dry air will still have lots of heat to work with,” Paul added, “and that’s why we’re going to be even hotter tomorrow than we were today.”
Saturday’s high is 101 degrees, and the humidity begins to drop.
On Sunday we drop into the mid-90s.
Next week the daytime temperatures drop even more, into the lower-90s. More rain comes into the forecast on Tuesday and Wednesday, but our real chance for rain comes Thursday, July 4th. There’s a 40-percent chance for rain, so keep an umbrella with you during your holiday outdoor activities.
