HOUSTON -- Atmosphere will be primed for a stray shower late Sunday morning and early afternoon, especially northwest of the Houston metro area, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
There is a 20 percent chance for rain for both Sunday and Monday, but do not expect too much relief from the Labor Day weekend heat.
Overnight temperatures will dip down into the mid-70s against for most of the area. Highs will be in the mid-90s as cloud coverage helps cap temperatures on Sunday afternoon.
