HOUSTON -- Temperatures will cool down to the upper-80s on Wednesday evening across southeast Texas, and there will be slight relief from the afternoon heat, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
“The Gulf Coast will continue to see warm, muggy 80-degree temperatures around Galveston,” Gomez said.
The sunny, hot weather continues for the next several days, and we could hit 100 degrees this weekend.
Looking to the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Dorian formed early Wednesday with maximum sustained winds at 50 mph. The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said no coastal watches or warnings were issued. It’s too soon to tell if the tropical system will have any effect on the U.S., but it's something to keep an eye on heading into next week.
