HOUSTON -- Heavy rain showers popped up across the Houston area Wednesday afternoon, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
We have a forecast high of 90 degrees Wednesday afternoon with a 40-percent chance for scattered rain and storms. Around 4 p.m., a lot of the isolated storms were scattered across the Houston area.
Thursday there’s a 40-percent chance for rain, and on Friday there’s a 70-percent chance.
All of this cloud coverage is keeping our temps down from where they were last weekend -- in the upper-80s and low-90s.
The chance for scattered rain and storms continues this weekend, too.
Next week will be sunny and hot with daytime temps approaching 100 degrees.
