HOUSTON -- Wednesday morning was cold, and Thursday morning will be even colder, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

Most of Houston will be in the upper-20s and low-30s on Thanksgiving morning with a forecast high of 56 degrees in the afternoon with sunny skies.

“We’re on the grips of an icy freeze,” Paul said.

Things warm up slightly this weekend with daytime temps in the mid- to upper-60s and early-morning temperatures in the 40s.

A slight chance for rain returns early next week as daytime temps hit the 70s.
