HOUSTON – This weekend’s cold weather is about to get even colder overnight with temperatures dropping down into the mid-30s in some parts of the Houston area, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.

Some areas north of I-10 could see some frost Sunday morning. From about 3 to 10 a.m., expect to see temperatures hover in the 30s.

Sunday will be an extremely dry like Saturday with about 24 percent humidity, which is unusual for the Houston area. Skies should remain clear for the rest of the weekend.

Do not expect temperatures get above the mid-60s Sunday afternoon. The good news is that this is likely to be the last frost for the winter with spring-like weather just around the corner.
