HOUSTON — The Houston area will endure “bitter cold” air for at least the next seven days, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
There is a Winter Weather Advisory for the communities northwest of the KHOU 11 viewing area with the chance of slick, freezing rain overnight. Drivers should be careful with light icing on bridges.
Overnight temps will drop down the upper-30s for most of the Houston area. Some communities farther north like Huntsville could see temps dip into the 20s.
There is a 20 percent chance of rain for the next couple of days.
It is going to get colder going into next week as the Houston area wakes up to temps in the low-40s.
For the next several days our overnight lows will be in the 30s and 40s and our afternoon highs won’t be much warmer.
The chance for rain lasts through the weekend and for the start of your next work week.
