HOUSTON -- Houston woke up to cooler temperatures and gusty winds early Wednesday with the arrival of a cool front.

Tonight the winds will die down, but the skies will stay nice and clear with temperatures in the 50s and 60s across tonight.

KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez says the temperatures will dip into the low-40s overnight into Thursday morning.

Friday the temps increase just a bit, pushing our daytime temps into the low-70s through the weekend. A few clouds and a slight chance for rain return on Saturday and Sunday.

Next week our overnight temperatures will be in the low-50s with daytime temps in the low- to mid-70s.
