SPRING, Texas – For years, a Spring couple has lived happily with thousands of bees until now.

A beehive might be alarming to most, but the Rosen family treated these honeybees like pets.

Lyn Rosen and her husband said they never wanted to bother the colony which has been growing for two years.

“They pollinate,” said Lyn. “We can’t live without bees.”

Lyn even fed them “saucers full of nectar.”

But they need to do some home improvements so they called Texas Bee Rescue and Preserve to help to get rid of the bees. The non-profit group takes them to a bee farm where they can live peacefully.

“They would have taken over the house,” said Lyn. “I would’ve been the guest.”
