HOUSTON—A red-light runner had to be extracted from a vehicle Wednesday night after causing a traffic accident in southwest Houston, according to Houston police.
Police said a silver car was traveling eastbound on the 610 South Loop feeder road around 10:30 p.m. when the driver ran a red light and collided with a red SUV traveling on Kirby.
The driver in the car was trapped inside and had to be freed by Houston firefighters. That driver and a passenger were transported to Ben Tab Hospital in serious, but stable condition.
The SUV driver was not hurt.
