HOUSTON – A vehicle ended up on its side on the West Loop after police said its driver was cut off near the exit for the Southwest Freeway.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes of the loop around 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Houston Police Department.
HPD said the driver swerved into a concrete barrier to avoid being hit by a car that took the exit at a high rate of speed. The two men in the vehicle were sent to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said the driver that cut the pair off never stopped.
The cleanup and investigation tied up the northbound lanes of the loop for about 30 minutes.
