HOUSTON—Two dangerous carjackers are on the loose after terrorizing residents in a north Houston apartment complex Thursday night.

The suspects were targeting victims at the Casa Real apartments on East Little York and Domino.
Two men attempted to rob a woman at gunpoint at the back of the apartments around 10:15 p.m., but she fought them off and they ran away.
The men ran to the front of the apartments and spotted a Mazda running with the owner standing nearby.
The owner tried to stop the men from getting into his car, but one of the suspects shot him in the leg. The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in stable condition.
A Northeast Patrol HPD unit found the Mazda abandoned under a bridge on Sherbourne at Tidwell about 30 minutes later.
The car had been set on fire and the suspects were nowhere to be found.
