HOUSTON -- A high school in Georgia held its first ever racially integrated prom last  weekend.

In the past, Wilcox County High School did not host a dance so the parents hosted private parties, and that lead to separate events.

But a group of students in the tiny town decided to end the segregation,  by coming together this year for a mixed-race prom.

The school does host an annual integrated dance called the Military Ball, but says it will discuss hosting an official prom next year.
