HOUSTON – The skies over the Johnson Space Center were filled with color Friday morning as dozens of hot air balloons taking part in this weekend’s Remax Ballunar Liftoff Festival arrived at the show.
The festival will feature over 50 giant, seven-story tall balloons in navigational competition, and daylong exhibitions of skydivers in formation, hang-gliders, powered parachutes, model rocket clubs.
NASA’s 50th anniversary will also be celebrated with a behind-the-scenes peek at the next generation of space exploration.
Cost is $10 per carload, free parking onsite and NASA Open House.
Gates open at 6 pm Friday, October 21st through noon Sunday, Oct 23rd.
