SAN ANTONIO -- A car crashed through a rock wall and a privacy fence before plunging into a backyard swimming pool on the city's northwest side Wednesday evening.
The crash happened just after 7 p.m. in the 13400 block of Barsan, which is east of I-10 and north of DeZavala.
Fire dispatchers said at least seven units were sent to the scene after reports that a vehicle had crashed into the pool.
The driver of the vehicle was a woman in her 60s. It was not clear what caused her to lose control of her car on Vance Jackson Road and crash into the yard.
She was not badly injured but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The homeowner was home at the time of the crash. Nobody other than the driver was injured in the crash.
Emergency workers at the scene were trying to determine how to remove the car from the water.
