PEARLAND, Texas – Award-winning BBQ chef Ronnie Killen was shocked to find his $8,000 BBQ pit missing -- he thought it was a cruel prank like they do on popular TV shows.

It was not a joke.

“I thought 'I am being punked,’” Killen said.

Killen was looking through surveillance tape to see if the thieves were caught on tape stealing his pride and joy. A friend heard what happened and let him borrow a pit Friday evening.

Killen is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who returns his pit – no questions asked.
