HOUSTON—Investigators still don’t know if anyone was home when a fire broke out in northeast Houston in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Just after 1:30 a.m., firefighters were called to a house on Madera near Thorn Street and made a quick attack on the fire.
They say flames were shooting several feet in the air when they arrived.
Officials say they didn’t find anyone at the home, but it looks like someone lives there. Search dogs were called in to check the rubble.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
