NORTHWEST HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- The mother of two boys reportedly kidnapped by their father at gunpoint on Wednesday is pleading for their safe return.
An Amber Alert has been issued for 1-year-old Jayce Teel and 4-year-old Jeremiah Teel. Jeremiah will celebrate his 5th birthday on Friday.
Both kids were with their mother when they were abducted from a complex on West Gulf Bank near Antoine.
Mother Jasmine Porter said her ex-boyfriend and father of her two kids, 26-year-old Jeremy Teel, showed up unannounced.
Porter claims Teel showed up with his current girlfriend, Jasmine Scott, and demanded to have his sons. An argument turned violent, and Teel allegedly pulled out a sawed-off shotgun.
“He pointed it first, and then shot it and then leaned and shot it and picked up the shells and drove off,” said mother Jasmine Porter.
Jasmine said she was getting ready to bring one of her sons to the doctor’s office when it happened.
She claims she and Teel were supposed to be in court back on July 8 to work out visitation and finances. She claims Teel never showed up, and she said she hasn’t seen him since.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with him. This is not Jeremy. This is not him," Porter said. "I don’t know what’s wrong. I just want my children back. This is too much for me.”
Teel reportedly showed back up at the complex on West Gulf Bank without his boys. Porter said she confronted him and he ran off.
Deputies later found Teel hiding in the bathroom of an area gas station.
According to investigators, Teel refused to reveal the kids’ whereabouts.
“My only concern is the children; you know what I’m saying. It’s been ongoing, and it looks very bad as a parent to me and to him,” Porter said.
Porter claims recent drama has involved Teel’s current girlfriend Jasmine Scott.
Deputies said Scott is not facing charges at this time, but investigators want to speak with her. Porter said Scott is currently pregnant and also has two other kids.
Jeremy Teel has been charged with aggravated assault. Court records show he has had run-ins with the law in the past, and Porter claims he is currently on parole.
