HOUSTON -– Wednesday brings us another hot and muggy day with a chance for isolated scattered showers across southeast Texas, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
High temps are expected to top off in the mid-90s, but it will feel more like 100 degrees outside.
“The dew point is 73, that is some very juicy air, very steamy air,” said Garner. “The kind of weather where you go outside and you sweat with very little physical exertion. I mean, I’m talking about walking to your car from the office, maybe.” There’s a 20-percent chance for rain on Wednesday with a forecast high of 95 degrees.
There is also a 20-percent chance that we will see a few stray showers later this afternoon. On Thursday the rain chance drops to 10-percent with a high temp of 97 degrees.
By the weekend our chance for rain goes away and our afternoon highs will reach nearly 100 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Looking ahead to next week the skies stay sunny with no relief from the afternoon heat.
