HOUSTON – Temperatures in the Houston area Wednesday afternoon will be the warmer than earlier this week, and a front north of Texas won’t bring much relief, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“This front stalled out and it’s only going to change our wind direction slightly,” said Johnson. “The cold air is there – it’s just going to push eastward.”
Most of the Houston area started in the mid-to upper-60s Wednesday morning. There’s a 20-percent chance of rain with a forecast high of 85 degrees.
The temperatures will only increase later this week to around 90 degrees in the afternoons.
The next chance for rain comes Monday and Tuesday with a 20-percent chance.
